The continuous and reliable operation of the data center ensures the continuity of customers’ critical business. Along with a company’s unceasing business development, the scale of its data center (the infrastructure that supports the business operation platform) needs expansion and upgrade continuously. Therefore, high availability and easy expansion of the system should be taken into account in the construction of a new data center.

APM Intelligent IDC Power System is a new generation of integrated IT equipment room UPS and intelligent distribution management system introduced by Emerson by combining its over 40 years of experiences in the large-power UPS production and the industry leading IDC power assurance and intelligent power management technology.

APM system adopts redundant modular design, ensuring the high availability of N+X redundant parallel system. Meanwhile, the UPS power module supports hot plug, making the expansion and upgrade much easier. The system maintenance time is shortened from 4-12 hours to 2min, substantially improving the system availability.

New technical features

- Highly energy-saving and environment-friendly: efficiency is over 96% at 50%~75% of the load and is over 95% at 25% of the load; input power factor 1; input THDi <3%
- Strong loading capacity: the output power factor is 1, and the loading capacity will not derate no matter the power factor is leading or lagging
- Easy to install: optional top/bottom cable entry, without cable inlet cabinet, with UPS and intelligent distribution system integrated in the cabinet
- Easy to maintain: adopting modular design; supporting hot plug and full front access maintenance; the UPS, bypass and distribution system can all be maintained and replaced  within 2 minutes
- Easy to reconstruct: the number of battery cells can be configured flexibly, making it possible to use the original battery system when reconstructing the old system; faulty battery can be removed in time without interrupting the UPS operation

- With the world's most sophisticated 30kVA rack-type built-in UPS; weight <35kg; height: 3U; 10 sets can be paralleled within one rack
- With built-in hot-pluggable maintenance bypass module
- APM 150 can be configured with the built-in intelligent server power management system SPM, can detect the on-off status, voltage, current, power factor, harmonic and power consumption of each branch, and set level 2 load current early warning
- APM 150 can be configured pluggable distribution modules with 18-way circuit breakers. Flexible expansion and regulation of the output distribution circuit are available at any time
- APM150 can be configured with ABB hotpluggable circuit breakers; the branch circuit breakers expansion or load phase adjustment can be performed without cutting off power
- Both the UPS and the load power supplies adopts dynamic configuration; the UPS capacity and load distribution circuit number can be changed as IT loads increase.
